MOLD REMEDIATION
After a flood or a fire, mold growth can occur in a very short time. Mold can be found almost anywhere; it can grow on virtually any substance, where moisture is present. We can help prevent mold by drying water damaged areas and items and removing excess water and moisture from the damaged area.
Mold contamination, a common occurrence in water-damaged buildings, requires immediate steps to contain and remove. If the home or building has had current or past water damage, particularly to building materials, a microbial investigation is warranted. This investigation should be performed by a company with microbiology or toxicology experience.
We require all of our technicians to be certified by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) in mold removal (applied microbial remediation) or the Restoration Industry Association (RIA) as a certified mold professional.
LEAD PAINT REMOVAL
Although outlawed in the late 1970's, It is not uncommon to still find lead paint in older structures throughout the United States. Lead paint has been known to be the cause of several cases of lead poisoning, specially in children, and can lead to chronic sickness and even death. ESN Home Restoration Experts are familiar with this toxic paint and have been helping home owners rid their homes of the paint for over a decade. Trust us in identifying it, removing, and disposing of this poison safely.
ASBESTOS ABATEMENT
Found in many structures, asbestos is often discovered during renovation, remodeling or natural disasters. Asbestos can be any of several minerals that separate into long, threadlike fibers. Because certain varieties do not burn and do not conduct heat or electricity, they were used for making fireproof materials, electrical insulation, roofing, filters, and much more.
Although a homeowner is not required to remove it, the presence of asbestos may create a hazard if exposed, and removal may be necessary to eliminate this danger. (Note that under California law, a homeowner must disclose the presence of asbestos in writing prior to the sale of a house.)
Commercial property owners are required to remove asbestos where exposed and/or poses a hazard.
